Hailey is a sweet, kind, silly, and easy going 9 year old. She is such a good little helper and brings JOY to SO many. She is brave, a fighter and such a lover!
Hailey's heart started failing Saturday morning and she was immediately rushed into surgery and hooked up to an ECMO machine. The ECMO machine is basically her temporary "heart" while her sweet little heart is resting and strengthening. The doctors think that a flu virus attacked her heart but are still not entirely sure of the cause. She can remain on the ECMO machine for up to 30 days while her heart heals and strengthens. She has a long road ahead of her and will be in the hospital for a while.
Danie & John are by her side full time other than to leave to eat or for the occasional shower and little bit of rest they can get. As you can imagine these costs can add up and we would love to offer any kind of support as finances is NOT something they should be worrying about right now.
