Hello! My name is Adrianna Kyeremateng, and I’m currently working as a Synthetic Biologist in the Discovery Biotechnology team at British American Tobacco (BAT). This summer, I’m stepping out of the lab and into the field to volunteer at the Lemiti Childcare Centre in the Maasai tribe of Moshi, Tanzania.
This centre, supported by Child Hope Development Organization (CHODO), is a purpose-built kindergarten that provides vital day care and education to over 55 children aged 3 to 6. These children come from vulnerable backgrounds, and the centre offers more than just learning—it provides safety, nourishment, and hope.
A portion of the programme fee I pay directly funds the wages of the two incredible local teachers and ensures that each child receives lunch every day. Without volunteer support, this kindergarten simply wouldn't exist.
How Your Support Will Help:
- Empower young children through early education
- Help me reach the community safely and well-prepared
- Ensure that 100% of the money raised goes toward the children
- Contribute directly to sustaining the kindergarten
No donation is too small, and every bit brings us closer to giving these children a brighter start in life.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of this mission. Your support—financial or through sharing this page—means everything
With gratitude,
Adrianna Kyeremateng
