I’m Angela, and I’m starting this fundraiser to help people in financial crisis in Charlotte, North Carolina, especially single parents, families with children, and veterans. In 2024, I went through a hardship of my own. Before that, I was financially stable and had helped many people, but when my children and I were the ones struggling, there was very little support. If it had not been for kind people in the community and church organizations, I do not know how we would have made it. That experience changed me. I saw firsthand how limited the resources are here for people facing eviction, homelessness, or sudden financial emergencies, especially families with children who have nowhere safe to go.
Now that I am doing better financially, I want to give others the same hope and support that helped me survive. The funds raised will be distributed based on the urgency of each situation, starting with families with children and then others with the most immediate needs, including veterans. Donations may help cover housing, food, moving assistance, utility bills, deposits, and other essentials that can keep someone safe and stable. I will be the one withdrawing and distributing the funds, and I am committed to full transparency. Every dollar will be accounted for, and I will share receipts and updates so donors can see exactly how their support is helping real people in need.
Charlotte can be a very unforgiving place when you are poor, facing eviction, or trying to keep your children safe. I have seen children living in cars and families turned away when they needed shelter the most. Many people are too embarrassed to ask for help, and too often there is nowhere for them to turn. I cannot do this alone. If you are able, please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser. Every contribution, no matter the size, can help someone in crisis find safety, stability, and hope.
