We Are a Family Without a Home This Holiday Season
I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but life has a way of changing everything in an instant. Right now, my family and I are homeless. We have been living out of our vehicle, doing our best to survive day by day, holding onto hope that things could still turn around. Recently, that small sense of stability was taken from us when our vehicle was towed by police while we were parked on the side of the road.
That vehicle was not just transportation. It was our shelter. It was where we slept, where we kept our belongings, and where we tried to create some sense of safety in an incredibly difficult situation. Losing it has left us stranded, exposed, and unsure of what comes next—especially during the holiday season, a time that is supposed to be about warmth, family, and togetherness.
Homelessness doesn’t always look the way people expect it to. It doesn’t always mean living on the streets with nowhere to go. For many families like mine, it means trying to survive quietly—sleeping in a car, moving from place to place, trying not to be noticed, and hoping each day that something will change. We didn’t choose this life. Circumstances beyond our control led us here, and despite our efforts, we have struggled to get back on our feet.
When our vehicle was towed, we lost more than just a car. We lost our ability to get to resources, appointments, and potential work opportunities. We lost the only place we had to rest safely at night. Now, we are facing towing and impound fees we cannot afford, along with the ongoing challenge of finding stable housing and basic necessities.
The holidays make this situation even harder. While many people are celebrating, decorating, and gathering with loved ones, my family is focused on survival—finding warmth, food, and a path forward. It’s incredibly humbling and painful to ask for help, but right now, we truly need it.
That is why I have created a GoFundMe. The funds raised will go directly toward:

Recovering or replacing our vehicle
Temporary shelter or safe lodging
Basic necessities like food, clothing, and hygiene items
Helping us work toward stability and a fresh start.

Every donation, share, and message of support makes a difference. Even if you are unable to give financially, sharing our story can help us reach someone who can. Compassion and kindness matter more than ever, especially during this season.
We are not giving up. We are doing everything we can to stay strong and hopeful, even when things feel overwhelming. Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for caring, and for helping in any way you can. Your support means more than words can express.
