About Me and the Fundraiser Purpose
My name is Basel. I was born in Gaza and currently reside in France. My uncle has asked me to help open this fundraiser to collect the necessary funds to evacuate his family. The funds will be received on my bank account for the purpose of transferring them and paying the Hala company in Egypt, which is responsible for the evacuation.
Update : Due to the ongoing closure of the Rafah border, evacuation is currently impossible. We are now using the funds to ensure the survival of my uncle's family by providing them with essential supplies such as clean water and food. Your continued support is critical in keeping them safe during this difficult time.
Inhumane Living Conditions
My uncle's family, consisting of ten people, and here is their story:
The parents:
- Emad, my uncle
- Sabrine, his wife
The children (my cousins):
- Saja, 21 years old
- Samy, 22 years old
- Aya, 18 years old
- Ahmad, 16 years old
- Loreen, 14 years old
- Bissan, 8 years old
- Naïma, 6 years old
- Siham, 4 years old

Before the war, they lived in Gaza City in the center of the Gaza Strip. Their apartment was reduced to ashes by bombings.
Here is a photo of my uncle's apartment after the bombings. This photo was taken by a neighbor and sent to my uncle. It shows the state of the apartment at the beginning of the offensive in Gaza. My uncle lived in an apartment in this bombed building. We do not know its current condition… it could be even worse now :

Forced to flee and be displaced, they found refuge in Rafah, in the south of Gaza. Today, they are barely surviving in a torn tent, without mattresses, sleeping on the bare ground. Hunger haunts them, and the only aid they receive comes from the modest money sent by our family in France, which is insufficient to meet their needs.
Life in Gaza is a daily nightmare. The incessant attacks have traumatized my young cousins. They have been targeted multiple times and, by some miracle, they have survived. But how long can they hold on? How long can they continue to survive the various massacres and atrocities aimed at them, They are just civilians !!!
A Heartbreaking Choice
The people of Gaza do not want to leave their land, but they have no choice. To escape to Egypt, they require between $2,500 and $5,000 per person, depending on whether they are children (-16) or adults. This was the cost before the Rafah crossing point closed, but we do not know if these costs will increase once it reopens. The rest of the requested sum will be used to help them stay in Egypt. This is an astronomical amount for us. We are desperately appealing for donations to save their lives, so they can escape this barbarity and regain a dignified existence.
Precarious Living Conditions

Living in a small, torn tent with ten people is beyond difficult. My cousins, who are still children, have to endure sleeping on the bare ground without mattresses. Access to clean water and food is a daily struggle. Every day is a battle to find enough water to drink and enough food to eat. This dire situation has had severe health impacts on the children. During the war, all of them unfortunately contracted hepatitis. Additionally, Naima, who is only seven years old, suffers from urinary incontinence caused by the fear and trauma of the bombings.

Need for Evacuation Funds
This requested sum of money is intended to evacuate them from Gaza to Egypt, their only means of survival, in order to find refuge there until the offensive on Gaza ends, and they can return to their land. These funds will be used once the Rafah crossing point is accessible again.
An Appeal to Your Generosity
We implore you to help us. Your donations can make the difference between life and death for them. Help us offer my cousins a chance to live like all children should be able to live: in safety, without fear, and without hunger.
Your generosity can save lives and give these children a future.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and compassion.
Additional Information
Here is a video where my uncle introduces himself in front of his tent, giving the date of the day. And location. You can also notice the condition of the tent.
