I’m raising funds to help the Say family, whom I had the privilege of meeting through my job at a local Hispanic radio station. Their story deeply touched all of us at work, and we were hoping to give them a little extra help beyond just Christmas gifts.
Earlier this year, the father was deported during the Glenn Valley ICE raid in Omaha, leaving his wife behind while she was pregnant. She later gave birth to their baby completely alone and has been raising a newborn and three other minors on her own. She is now a single mother to four children, doing everything she can to keep her family safe and together.
Right now, the family is living in a motel, but they’ve been given only 20 days to find a new place to stay. She is actively searching for housing. That is exactly where these funds will go to help secure stable housing for her and her children.
The Say family has touched many hearts, not only because of what they’ve endured, but because of their strength, sincerity, gratitude, and determination to keep moving forward. They continue to fight, holding onto hope and her faith, trusting that God would never place anything in her path that she cannot endure.

Estoy recaudando fondos para ayudar a la familia Say, a quienes tuve el privilegio de conocer a través de mi trabajo en una estación local de radio hispana. Su historia nos tocó profundamente a todos en el trabajo, y queríamos brindarles un poco más de apoyo más allá de solo regalos de Navidad.
A principios de este año, el padre fue deportado durante la redada de ICE en Glenn Valley, en Omaha, dejando a su esposa atrás mientras estaba embarazada. Más tarde, ella dio a luz a su bebé completamente sola y desde entonces ha estado criando a un recién nacido y a otros tres menores por su cuenta. Ahora es madre soltera de cuatro hijos y hace todo lo posible por mantener a su familia segura y unida.
Actualmente, la familia vive en un motel, pero solo les han dado 20 días para encontrar otro lugar donde quedarse. Ella está buscando activamente una vivienda. Precisamente para eso se destinarán estos fondos: para ayudar a asegurar una vivienda estable para ella y sus hijos.
La familia Say ha tocado muchos corazones, no solo por todo lo que han tenido que enfrentar, sino también por su fortaleza, sinceridad, gratitud y determinación de seguir adelante. Continúan luchando, aferrándose a la esperanza y a su fe, confiando en que Dios nunca pone en su camino algo que no puedan soportar.
