HOPE AND HOME FOR JENNY AND KIDS

Jenny, a 2001 Graduate of Saker Baptist College, Limbe (Cameroon) is a Single Mother of 3 and holds a Bachelors Degree in English Private Law. She worked for 5 years as a Field Supervisor with PAMOL PLANTATIONS Plc - an oil palm estate in Lobe, Ndian Division in the Southwest Region of Cameroon.  All was fine with her and her young children - aged 10, 8 and 2, and then the political unrest and ensuing devastation in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon set in, causing her, her children and her wheelchair-bound mother to flee to Yaounde. Unable to find gainful employment, (which is what she primarily seeks, going as far as offering to work as a maid in the homes of her classmates), all 3 of her children are OUT OF SCHOOL, FOOD is scarce and unsure, and now, HOMELESSNESS looms because, as the posted EVICTION NOTICE indicates, she has been ordered to vacate the home she, her children and ailing mother have been living in as TENANTS, due to UNPAID rent.  She has been very forthcoming and forthright about the ASSISTANCE she has so far received so far, from her graduating class of 2001 classmates and a benevolent Sakerette Official particularly, but that assistance could only go so far.  Here is an excerpt of the plea she sent out as a text: "Good day SakerPride. I am pleading for help from my mothers and sisters who are in the position to help me. I really need a job or a business. One of our mothers helped me with 100.000 frs. to pay my accommodation, but the money she gave me can't pay me a new accommodation for 6 months plus two months deposit. The money she gave me and the one I have can only pay me 4 months rents. I am still looking for 4 months rents, that is, the remaining two months rents and two months deposit. Please, help a sister in need. Thanks." Obviously, our INTERNALLY DISPLACED Sister/Daughter NEEDS help - on 2 fronts: 1. TODAY: She needs IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE to keep a roof over her and her innocent children and ailing mother's heads - literally! 2. LONG TERM: She needs A JOB - A SOURCE OF INCOME to help her get back on her feet, so she can regain her INDEPENDENCE - and DIGNITY. (It is only out of SHEER DESPERATION that she has resorted to going PUBLIC with her dire needs!!!!) Our fervent PRAYER is that YOU, reading this, will be able to find it in your heart to help her with ONE or BOTH of these needs. As for the FUNDS RAISED here, they will be used STRICTLY for the purpose for which they are being raised. (DIRECT payments will be made to the eventual LANDLORD/LANDLADY).
