ONE in FIVE children in the United States go to bed hungry.
This statistic is UNACCEPTABLE.... And yet, just 10 miles away from our home is the community of Desert Hot springs, where 98% of the children at Cabot Yerxa elementary school depend on government breakfasts and lunches.. sometimes their only meal of the day. That’s 98%! No school equals no food for these kids...
We who never went to bed hungry cannot allow this, so we have started a goFundMe campaign to help feed the children of Desert Hot Springs.
You ask: What can we do? While we cannot end hunger in all children, we can do something for the hungry children in our own backyard.
