Hoops 4 All - Edward M. Downer Elementary

Hoops 4 All is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the sport of basketball accessible to underprivileged Bay Area communities.

We have partnered with Edward M. Downer Elementary School of San Pablo, CA for our inaugural project. Downer Elementary had a vibrant after-school basketball program with high student involvement and community support before the program dissolved about 12 years ago due to budget cuts and a lack of coaches. Through our partnership with Downer Elementary Hoops 4 All is looking to revitalize the school’s basketball community and give the students an outlet to explore their passion for the sport.

All donations will contribute to the renovation of Downer Elementary’s basketball facilities, fund basketball camps for the students, and establish a basketball team that will play in a local elementary school basketball league. Donations will be used to purchase and install side hoops for the school’s gym, paint a mural overlooking the school’s playground, decorate the gym with banners, add three-point lines to the courts, and buy equipment needed for basketball camps and the team.
