Honouring Richard and supporting the Simmons Family

For those who know Richard, you may have heard the heartbreaking news of his battle with terminal cancer. What began as a routine doctor’s visit for a persistent cough late last year quickly turned into a devastating diagnosis—an aggressive cancer that had already spread throughout his body.

Despite the unimaginable, Richard has faced this reality with incredible strength, love, and resilience. He was able to spend what would be his last Christmas with his beloved wife, Clair, and their two young boys, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

In the past six months, Richard has done everything possible to prepare his family for life without him—working tirelessly to provide for them while he still can, ensuring his boys feel his love in every moment, and finding ways to make the time they have left together truly meaningful. In a bittersweet celebration, they recently held early birthday parties for their children, knowing that he won’t be there to celebrate on the actual days.

This fundraiser is being set up to provide support for Richard in his final months and, most importantly, to help Clair and their children as they navigate life after this devastating loss. No family should have to face financial hardship while enduring such overwhelming grief.
