On the 19th April 2023, my beautiful Mum was involved in a Fatal Road Accident, which resulted in her death.
Statistics show there were 1633 car related fatalities in 2023, and although no one was found at fault in this tragedy, I still want to advocate for safer roads throughout the UK because I’m not the only person who has suffered from such a loss in this way.
Over the past year, I’ve been able to find some solace through two amazing British Organisations: Mind and Brake Charity.
Mind focuses on making mental health an everyday priority whilst Brake Charity aims to support families who have lost loved ones in road accidents. These organisations have been the pillars that have kept me standing over this past year, and have quite literally helped me through the hardest period of my life.
For many years, my Mum was so passionate about mental health. She wanted to make the world a better place through giving people the support, and guidance they needed to navigate in such a tough world.
So, to show my gratitude to both my Mum and the charities, I’m raising money for both charities by participating in a 36km walk of the TFL Jubilee Line on the 7th July 2024.
It will be a challenging day ahead but I hope you can all support me for this great cause!
