Honouring My Grandad's Memory: Help Renovate His Home

Hi my name is Angela and I am fundraising to try help pay for renovations on my Grandad's home,

Our family is reaching out for help to fulfil a wish that my grandad never got to make happen. He passed away recently after a long battle with Alzheimer's and cancer. Grandad always envisioned his home as a place where his grandchildren and great-grandchildren could grow, learn, and enjoy the beauty of family life. Just as he did as a young boy growing up in the 1930's in Weymouth England, He dreamed of having a vegetable garden & chickens on the property but with his health failing him over the years and not being able to manage with the upkeep on the house, and the cost of living those dreams were never fully realized.

We want to honour my Grandads wishes and make his home the sanctuary he envisioned, but we need your help. The house needs significant repairs to make it safe and liveable, there is currently no working water and a lot of things need replacing and redoing, we need to hire a few trades to help with the house, we’ll not only honour his dream by accomplishing this but ensure that his vision of a thriving, loving family home will continue to be a gathering place for generations to come. His Wife (my nanny) is currently in an aged care home and it would be amazing for her to see his dream come to life & to see her house be what it was intended to be.

Every donation will bring us one step closer to fulfilling his dream and keeping his memory alive in a place that meant so much to him.
