Honouring Maureen: a leap for Huntingtons

Donation protected
My boyfriend’s mum, Maureen, unfortunately passed away in late February 2026. Before knowing Maureen, I had never even heard of Huntingtons.
As I started to spend more time living with Maureen she became a massive part of my life and daily routine. Although I only got to know her while she had this disease, she taught me so much. Every day I looked forward to coming downstairs and seeing her face light up when you walk in or hearing her cheekily ask for a chocolate just before dinner.

Maureen was caring, endlessly positive and incredibly funny. She had a way of bringing light into the room, even on the hardest days. That light is deeply missed.

Since her passing I have struggled more than expected, not just without her presence, but with the feeling of helplessness that comes with it.I wanted to find a way to do something meaningful in her memory. So what better way to raise awareness, than jump out of a plane!? I can only imagine the look she would give me if she knew I was doing this.
All donations go to a charity supporting people with Huntington’s. If you are able to donate it would mean so much and even if you are unable to donate I ask that you simply research and educate yourself on Huntingtons and share with family and friends.
Thankyou for reading and helping me honour Maureen’s memory
