We are coming together to honour our beautiful friend, Karlie. Her loss was sudden and unexpected. Karlie was just 51 years old – a loving mother, devoted wife, caring daughter and sister, and a loyal friend to many.

In the face of such heartbreak, we have felt a deep desire to act -to do something that reflects the love so many of us feel for Karlie and her family. We all grieve together.

We created this GoFundMe page to honour Karlie’s memory while offering tangible support to those she loved most, her boys - Nathan, Keo and Indy. This is one small way to carry Karlie’s spirit forward - with compassion, love, and community.

Karlie was so full of life and energy. She had recently returned from a family mountain-biking holiday in Canada, where she had the time of her life, charging down the mountains. Karlie was passionate about living life on the bright side. She emanated warmth, kindness and compassion. Karlie had an unwavering love for her family, friends and her Avalon community.
