Running the 2026 London marathon - For Teon

On 13 April 2022, the sun set over Lewisham and took with it many broken hearts. Teon became another victim of knife crime — a statistic to the headlines, but to those who loved him, and even to many who never met him, he was a bright, hopeful boy with limitless potential. On his way to training at Double Jab Amateur Boxing Club, simply going about his day, his life was stolen in a moment of senseless violence.
I am running the 2026 London Marathon for Teon — and for every life lost or forever scarred by knife crime. I came to know of Teon through my son, Alfie. Their journeys were painfully alike, and from my son’s hospital bed I reached out to Teon’s mum, praying she would never endure what I was facing. Tragically, Teon did not survive his injuries. From that day, I have felt a deep responsibility to honour him, to carry his name with me, and to keep his light alive in any way I can.
To those who have survived knife crime — I see you. Your bodies may heal, but the invisible wounds remain. For my son, and for every young person navigating life after such trauma, I am running for you too.
All donations will be split between two charities close to our hearts:
Double Jab Boxing Club (Lewisham): Teon’s club — a lifeline giving young people strength, purpose, and a chance to realise their potential.
BPOC — Be Part of Change: Founded by Jeannine, the grieving mother of Tyrelle, who is fighting tirelessly to reform knife crime laws and support families living through the unimaginable. She has been a source of unwavering love and strength for Teon’s mum.
A little about me: I am not a runner in any sense of the word. And with major surgery in November 2024, much of my training will happen while I’m still healing. My goal isn’t speed or performance — it’s simply to finish. It will hurt, it will test me, and at times it will feel impossible. But compared to the pain that so many families carry, this is a challenge I am proud to take on.
If you are able to donate, please do so as generously as you can. I know times are incredibly hard for many people, and every single contribution — big or small — means more than I can ever express. Your support will help change young lives, support grieving families, and keep Teon’s memory alive.
I run for my son. I run for Teon. I run for every mother, father, and child touched by knife crime. I run because we cannot lose any more bright futures. We must fight for change.
