Honoring the Legacy of an SGU Veteran
Donation protected
Somchay Keopaseuth, A veteran of the Special Guerrilla Unit (SGU) that fought in the Vietnam War. Our dad recently lost a short but courageous battle with cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) 5/1/54-3/9/25. This cancer is believed to disproportionately affect soldiers who fought in the SGU during the war. While statistics may not fully acknowledge this connection, many cases suggest otherwise.
Our family is devastated, especially as we are still grieving the tragic loss of our sister, who passed away just six months ago in September. Losing both our loved ones in such a short time has been heartbreaking, and we are struggling to cope with the emotional and financial burdens.
Our dad was a devoted husband of over 45 years to Chanthy Keopaseuth and was blessed with five daughters (Van, Lae, Phanit, Kitsana & Linda). His humor and kindhearted personality made him an affectionate presence in the lives of everyone he met. He was a man of strength, love, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.
We are seeking support to honor his legacy and cover medical and memorial expenses. Any contribution is deeply appreciated. Thank you for standing with us during this difficult time.
