Honoring Sybil - by Supporting Her Kids
Donation protected
Any of you who knew Sybil Berry know that she bore a radiance as vast as the earth. With an incredibly wry sense of humor, a welcoming heart, and a wide, wide vision, Sybil took the needs and the beauty of so many diverse people into account. She also had a way of making everyone feel welcome. And, she was a practical sort of girl, always reaching out into the world to see how she could help, bring relief, a smile, or bring people together. From school supply and coat drives for underresourced kids to her volunteer community-building work… painting murals, hosting dance sessions, tending gardens - she was always doing good and always in the mix. Even her job at Intentional Communities of Washtenaw working with adults with disabilities was about care - particularly for people that the world often erases. This is just who she was.
And, any of you who knew Sybil, know that the absolute heart and soul of her life was her two beautiful kiddos - Nora and Corbin. As much as she infused them with love and gave them a good foundation by supporting them with everything she had in pursuing their dreams - they are now without their mama. And they will be, for every milestone, every holiday, and every turn of the season. It’s not an easy path to walk - what they don’t need is financial stress in navigating these next steps. What they do need and deserve is our love and support.
So, let’s SHOW UP FOR THESE KIDS! Thank you, in advance, on behalf of their mama.
