Honoring Shalamar: A Mother's Legacy
Donation protected
My name is Samirah Brown, and I am Shalamar Brown's sister. I am reaching out, hoping the community can support us during this unimaginable time. On Sunday, June 29, 2025, Shalamar, who was a mother of two children, she was murdered by her boyfriend, who used a handgun to kill her at the family home. Her children were present in the house during the incident. As we struggle to make sense of this tragedy, the children need immediate support for their daily needs.
The killer shot several times to ensure Shalamar would not survive, leaving the children traumatized beyond words. He threatened every person in the neighborhood, shooting like a maniac, and trying to change the reality of Shalamar choosing to end a toxic relationship to find her happiness.
Shalamar was a charming young woman who was deeply loved by her children and family. She lit up every room she entered, freely sharing her joy. Her zest for life made this tragedy all the more painful for those left behind. Now, her absence leaves a void even laughter cannot fill. Her hopes and dreams were thrown away because a coward with a gun and the mind of a maniac couldn't face rejection.
Now, her children are left without their mother’s comforting presence or supportive guidance. Please donate to help this family find another apartment, as theirs was torn up by rage, hate, and bullets. All donations will go to the children for housing, for job loss, and for any related expenses due to their injury
I am saddened by the life of my sister cut too short. She was our anchor, and her absence left us lost, searching for the strength to move forward. Now every day feels heavier as we balance grief, anxiety, and uncertainty, unable to find peace.
Thank you for your generosity and kindness in the face of this horrific tragedy.
