In Loving Memory of Rodney — A Light Gone Too Soon

Help Us Honor a Beautiful Soul and Celebrate His Life

On July 24th 2025 , our beloved Rodney — a son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend — was tragically shot twice and hospitalized. On July 30th, at just 34 years old , with injuries too severe to survive on his own, Rodney was taken off of life support leaving behind an ocean of grief and heartbreak that words can hardly express.

Rodney was so much more than the circumstances of his death. He was a brilliant artist, a lover of humanity, a soul who saw the good in others even when life was hard. Despite battling his own afflictions Rodney carried one of the biggest, most generous hearts this world has ever known. He had a soft spot for all people and animals. He had an open mind, and a love that was genuine and wide-reaching.

Rodney didn’t have much — but what he did have, he gave freely. He gave his art, his time, his laughter, his light. And even in death, Rodney gave the gift of life — donating both kidneys, his liver, and his beautiful heart to save the lives of four people. Giving them the precious gift of what was robbed of him - TIME. That was Rodney — a selfless spirit until the very end.

This devastating loss came unexpectedly, and like many young adults, Rodney didn’t have plans or financial preparations for such a sudden end. Our family is now navigating unimaginable grief while also trying to give him the farewell he so deeply deserves — a celebration of life that reflects the love he gave so effortlessly.

We’re asking for your help. Whether you knew Rodney personally or are simply moved by his story, please consider donating to help cover any medical, funeral expenses and support to our family during this heartbreaking time. Any amount — big or small — makes a difference.

Let us come together in love, the way Rodney always tried to love others. Let us honor his memory not with silence, but with support, action, and remembrance.

❤️Rodney gave life to four people. Let us now give something back in his name.

❤️Let us give him the send-off he earned — a final act of love for a man who never stopped giving.

❤️Let us remind this family that in their darkest hour, they are not alone.
