On Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, our dad, Richard Chavez, was involved in a very tragic accident on S Central Ave & E Roeser Rd. He was riding a bicycle, going south on Central Ave, and was struck and run over by a commercial vehicle. He sustained serious life-threatening injuries, with prolonged complications, and went through back-to-back emergency surgeries in the intensive care unit.

Two days later, his fight came to an end on January 16th, and our lives were shattered with his untimely death.

As we endure this devastating loss and pain in our hearts, we are now faced with unexpected funeral expenses.

With this sudden financial hardship placed upon us, we are reaching out to our families and friends for any support to help lay our dad to rest.
