<div>On Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, our dad, <strong>Richard Chavez</strong>, was involved in a very tragic accident on S Central Ave &amp; E Roeser Rd. He was riding a bicycle, going south on Central Ave, and was struck and run over by a commercial vehicle. He sustained serious life-threatening injuries, with prolonged complications, and went through back-to-back emergency surgeries in the intensive care unit.

<div>Two days later, his fight came to an end on January 16th, and our lives were shattered with his untimely death.

<div>As we endure this devastating loss and pain in our hearts, we are now faced with unexpected funeral expenses.

<div>With this sudden financial hardship placed upon us, we are reaching out to our families and friends for any support to help lay our dad to rest.
