Honoring Reginald Daniel’s Life & Caring for His Son Tristan

Hello, my name is Yanick Barjon, and it is with a mother’s broken heart that I ask for your kindness and support during this devastating time for my family.

On July 2nd, 2025, I lost my beloved son, Reginald Daniel, after an unexpected, sudden, and tragic illness. He fell ill on May 31st and was rushed to the hospital, never to return. He passed away at the early age of 39.

Reginald was a quiet, kind, and faith-filled man. A servant who loved people and served with his whole heart. He gave his life to Christ and was baptized last year after migrating from Haiti. He came here to start over and offer his son a new and better life. He leaves behind not only memories of his gentle spirit but also his greatest legacy—his 16-year-old son, Tristan.

As a mother, I never imagined I would have to bury my child. My health is fragile—I have early-onset dementia—and I am leaning on my family and our community to help us through this painful journey.

Reginald's son, Tristan, is an A student in high school, attends church weekly, and aspires to make his dad proud and finish high school and one day serve in the U.S. military.

We are raising funds to:

1. Provide a simple, dignified funeral and cremation to honor Reginald’s life and legacy.

2. Provide hope and stability for Tristan’s care and future needs, including food, school supplies, clothing, counseling, and the basic needs every child has and deserves after such a heartbreaking loss.

3. Ensure he has the emotional and financial support he needs to heal, grow, and thrive without the guidance of his father by his side.

Our family has carried this burden quietly, but now we need the love and generosity of others to help ensure that Reginald's son, my grandson Tristan, is not left without the resources he needs to succeed.
