There are some souls who arrive in this world carrying more light than we can fathom. A light so pure, it feels as though Heaven has lent us an angel for just a moment. Our daughter, Avani Jeanette Steele, was one of those souls.

In her three short weeks of life, Avani taught us more about love, grace, and the beauty of a single breath than we had learned in a lifetime. She came peacefully, wrapped in innocence, and left as gently as she arrived, returning to the embrace of God before we could fully comprehend the depth of her gift to us.

Her name means “earth” and “grace,” and true to her name, she grounded our family in unity, and moved through our lives with an elegance only Heaven could bestow. Though her voice never formed words, she spoke to us in the eternal language love, as if she had already known it well.

Avani’s passing was sudden and without warning, leaving us holding not just our grief, but the quiet ache of all the moments we will never share. Yet even in our sorrow, we choose to honor her the way she lived, in light, in connection, and in love.
