Myrna Wetzel made a lasting impact on our community through her dedication to Candy Cane Park. Her tireless efforts were instrumental in the park’s renovation, creating a welcoming space for families, children, and neighbors to enjoy for years to come. Myrna’s love for the park and her commitment to improving our neighborhood inspired everyone around her, and her legacy continues to shape our community.

Recently, we lost both Myrna and her beloved dog, Blessing. In recognition of all that Myrna has done, friends, neighbors, and The City of Lodi are coming together to honor her memory. On November 16th, we will dedicate this day as Myrna Wetzel Day and unveil a memorial plaque at Candy Cane Park, the place she helped transform. This tribute will serve as a lasting reminder of her kindness, vision, and the joy she brought to so many.

Funds raised will be used to purchase the memorial plaque and the stand it will be attached to, as well as to help cover costs for the unveiling event. By contributing, you’ll help us celebrate Myrna’s life and ensure her legacy is remembered by all who visit Candy Cane Park.
