My name is Allen Vang and I am the oldest of 6 and my dad is Pao Choua Vang.

My dad of 51 passed away from heart and lung disease. Since I am the oldest, I feel that I have to step up and make decisions as well as fund for the funeral. However, since the passing was so sudden, I am unable to fully fund the funeral with my resources.

A little bit about my dad, he loved to go fishing, hunting, and had a passion for cars. He worked as a truck driver for 20+ years and always put his kids first. My dad wasn’t much of a talker but he loved making jokes and bragging about his kids.

A fond memory I have of him was going to North Dakota and watching him catch white bass and saying “Maa Jaay Yerr”.

He wasn’t your typical dad who liked to listen to Hmong songs, he loved listening to Journey, Michael Jackson, and Tears for Fears. His all time favorite song was “Earth Angel(Will You Be Mine?)” by Marvin Berry from his favorite movie Back To the Future. I remember he would always make me sing it for him since he couldn’t sing it well.

He did his best with the little time he had with us. He didn’t leave much for us but I want to give him a proper farewell and a safe resting place.

Our goal is 10,000, but anything will help.
