Honoring Moses: A Celebration of Life for a Beloved Messenger
Sunday, March 9th 2-3 pm The Grace
229 S. Brevard St,
We are gathering funds to host a memorial service and burial for our dear friend, Moses. (Paul Antonio Ervin) If you knew Moses, you know that he was more than just a familiar face—he was a messenger of love, hope, and kindness in Charlotte.
With his ever-present smile, wave, and peace sign, Moses had a gift for acknowledging every passerby, making each person feel seen, valued, and uplifted. His words of encouragement, laughter, a peace sign, and a wave of his hands brightened even the darkest days. Whether you had a conversation with him or simply shared a knowing nod on 'his block', Moses left an imprint on countless hearts.
Now, we have the opportunity to give back to him by ensuring he receives the farewell he deserves. These funds will cover his burial, funeral expenses, headstone, flowers, and a celebration of life where we can come together to honor his spirit. Any remaining funds will be donated to Roof Above.
If Moses ever brought a moment of joy or peace to your life, we invite you to contribute—any amount helps. Let’s come together as a community, just as Moses always brought people together, and show our gratitude for a life that truly embodied love and connection.
Thank you for helping us give Moses the send-off he so deeply deserves.
