It feels impossible to put into words what it means to lose Matt. If you knew him, you knew his laughter and you knew his generosity—the way he showed up—arms full of groceries, hands gripping the latest book or board game (or condiment) he couldn’t wait to share. He poured himself into life, into the people he loved, never holding back.

In the wake of this immense loss, the outpouring of love and support has been overwhelming. So many have reached out, offering help in countless ways, and we are deeply grateful. Matt’s family has so generously taken care of the funeral costs, and we are profoundly touched by the ways people have come together during this time.

For those who have asked how they can help, we have set up this GoFundMe to support Brooke with some of the additional financial burdens she now faces—legal fees, medical costs from Matt’s hospital stay, and the weight of their mortgage.
