On December 18, Matthew Richard was tragically taken in a sudden car accident, leaving Sam and their sweet daughter, Chloe, facing an unimaginable loss. Matt was an incredibly devoted father, and the primary provider for their family.

This tragedy comes just after a very recent and hopeful move to Lake Charles for Matt’s new job, while Sam stepped away from hers. She is now navigating a major life transition, planning for the future, and the difficult move back to Houston to be closer to family, all while caring for Chloe and grieving.

We are raising funds to provide some sense of stability during this inexplicably painful time. To remind them they are not alone. All donations will go directly toward immediate living expenses, moving costs, and supporting Sam and little Chloe as they take the time needed to grieve and determine next steps.
