Honoring Mark: Support for his loving family

Dear friends and family,

It’s with heavy hearts that I share that my beloved father-in-law, Mark, is coming to the end of his battle with stage four pancreatic cancer. This diagnosis came as a surprise to all of us. As his journey comes to an end, we are preparing for the heartbreaking reality of saying goodbye.

During this incredibly difficult time, our focus is on ensuring his comfort, honoring his final wishes, and supporting our family as we navigate the emotional and financial challenges ahead. The weight of medical expenses and funeral arrangements is overwhelming, and we humbly ask for your help. Mark is a beloved father to Shioban Grout, Sarah Cross, and Brian Downing, husband to the late Julia Downing, and adored Dado to Rose, Joy, Annie, Jack, and Cormac. Mark spent his last years living with and taking care of his 96-year-old mother, where he spent all of his savings to make sure they could stay in an apartment together.
