Honoring Leslie

Dear Family, Friends and Supporters,

So, here we are - less than 2 years from our initial Go Fund Me, which was created for supporting Leslie’s biopsy. At that point she still hadn't learned about the triple negative breast cancer which was already spreading beyond a point that anyone could have imagined.

We are now making a very different plea.

Our sister Leslie, has been courageously battling cancer, but sadly, her condition has very quickly progressed, and her time with us is now being described by her healthcare team as “borrowed time.”

Leslie has been a loving and devoted wife, an incredible mother to her two sons, a source of unwavering love to all who know her. She has dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting her family, as well as ensuring they have had every opportunity to flourish and grow.

Now, as she faces her own mortality, her driving purpose has been to ensure that she does not leave her family (her two adult sons and mother) with any of the heart-wrenching decisions, or the financial responsibilities, that inevitably follow the loss of a loved one.

In the last year, Leslie has ensured that her house is paid off, that it goes to her boys, and that they understand her wishes to be cremated.

Each of our hearts ache, and especially Leslie's heart aches, at the thought of the burden that her sons would have to carry when it comes to the financial arrangements for her cremation.

Leslie's concern for leaving her sons with the heavy financial responsibility that comes with losing their mom has prompted this new Go fund Me. And, as we rally around her during these trying days, we feel compelled to ensure that her final journey is as respectful and as dignified as she has been throughout her entire life.

In our time of immense grief and uncertainty, we humbly reach out to you, asking for your generous support and kindness. Your donation, no matter the size, will make an immeasurable difference. Your help will allow her sons, her mother, and all of us the chance to focus on cherishing the precious moments that we have left with Leslie.
