Honoring Katrina: Support Tyler and Their Children

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Katrina Harrington, a loving and devoted wife to Tyler and loving mother to Asher (5) and Holly (1). Katrina was an absolute joy to be around. Her love and care for her family and friends always shined. She has been a true inspiration to all that knew her, especially when she was first diagnosed with brain cancer as a teenager. She was so moved by her nurses and caretakers she decided to become a child life specialist herself as a career to give back and help children and their families going through many different health struggles at hospitals. She was there to encourage patients, play with them, help them understand why they needed their medicine, and hold their hands every step of the way. This was a true passion of hers and an incredible way to give back what she received. Once she was blessed with children, she left work to be an incredible stay-at-home mother.

Unfortunately, in the spring of this year (2024), Katrina fell ill, and after countless tests and scans, they found a new tumor had formed in her brain. After receiving immediate surgery to have the tumor removed, and months of close watch, more tumors appeared and it became less and less of a chance of her beating it. Katrina's battle was so incredibly hard, but she took it with an astounding amount of courage and faith.

Katrina passed away in her home with her loved ones on Monday morning, November 25th. She is at peace and though her time with family and friends was cut so unfairly short, her legacy will last forever.

In lieu of flowers or cards, the donations will be used for charity or future college funds.
