Hello family and friends,
It is with profound sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved father, John David Carranza. My dad peacefully passed today at 12:23 p.m.
He was diagnosed with ALS two years ago on his 71st birthday. ALS is commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Lou Gehrig's Disease is a terminal disease that slowly breaks down all muscle movement. Since my dad's diagnosis, it has been a long, hard battle. I put in my all to honor his wishes, as he wanted to fight his disease as much as he could for his family. We made every day spent with him memorable to make the best of his situation. And after two long years, his fight is over, and he is finally at peace with God.
My dad was the best father I could have ever asked for. My dad was loving, kind, and generous. He worked hard to provide everything and anything we asked for. He could fix anything in front of him, make any car look brand new, and make a paint job look like it had never been damaged. My dad always thought about others. He welcomed everyone he met with open arms and treated everybody like family.
Most importantly, to us, he was our "Papa." He always put his family first. He loved all his children and grandchildren with his entire heart and soul. He always wanted what was best for us. He could always find the best possible solution for each of us. My dad sacrificed his life for the people he loved. And now, it is our turn to give back to him the way he constantly gave to us.
Along with my family, I want to give my dad the goodbye he deserves. We would greatly appreciate any donations you can provide so we can honor my dad in the best way we can. If you cannot donate, please send us prayers of strength and peace during this time. Any support you can give is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your donations, prayers, and love during this time.
