My name is Rhiannon. I set up this GoFundMe to help support my Niece and Nephews who lost their Father tragically just a few days ago.
There are so many things I could tell you about my brother Ismael or Izzy as most people knew him . However , I am going to tell you who he truly was. He was a loving Father, Son, Brother, Nephew and Tio. There was nothing he wouldnt for his family , or his chosen family , those whom he called his friends. He was a loving, loyal, and dependable man. Always willing to help those in need.
He loved fishing, rock hounding, animals, the 49ers and being a huge presence in the lives of his children. He was often found on local football fields , baseball fields or basketball courts coaching and cheering on his children and their team mates. Just look at his Facebook Profile and you will see how proud of each and every one of kids . He would brag about them every chance he got. He was born to be a father and it was his greatest joy.
Sadly , on March 9, 2026 Izzy was rushed to the hospital after he suffered a massive brain bleed, which we later learned he could not recover from.
As I mentioned before , he helped people whenever he could and he held on to that quality till the very end . Izzy made the choice a long time ago to be an organ donor, so when this all happened, Izzy was placed on life support while his organs were tested for viability. Over the next few days, Izzy was surrounded by family and other people, who's lives he had made an impact on over the years, alot of which were kids who he coached and who he treated like family.
My brother received a hero's walk on March 12, 2026 at 8:30am before he selflessly gave 3 complete strangers a new lease on life. It turned out that Izzy was able to donate both of his kidneys and his liver to 3 different people. I have never been more proud of my brother. He was truly an amazing man.
He leaves behind 5 children , Sebastian, Angelina, Ismael "Lito" , Christopher and Anthony. The 5 most important people on this planet as far as he was concerned. This GoFundMe was set up to help his children in the future to cover medical expenses and other needs that may arise in his absence, because If you knew Izzy , he would do the same for all of us in a heart beat, and because the only thing they should be doing right now is grieving the loss of their Father. Not stressing on what happens now that Izzy is no longer here. So on behalf of my Parents and I, Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and for donating if you are able. Every donation regardless of the amount will be greatly appreciated and it will be distributed equally amongst his 5 children.
