“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” Psalms 23:6 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Gail M. Beecher-Cowart who passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 22, 2025. Gail Marie was born on November 19, 1947 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the eleventh child of 13 children born to Mr. and Mrs. LV Cowart. Gail was a big personality in a small package who grew up loving to sing, cook and care for her large family. She was born with a deep passion for serving the church and dedicated her life to the Lord at a young age. Gail’s legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. Growing up in a large family and taking care of her elderly parents,inspired her to start a career in Geriatric Care. She worked as a Nurse’s Aid at the VA hospital in Menlo Park, California until her retirement. Gail’s most significant accomplishment was raising her two beloved children Corinthian and Brittany, whom she held as her pride and joy. She is joined in rest by her father LV, mother Jessie, siblings Antaloe, Myra, Hubert, Alveteen, Patricia, Robbie, and Billy. Gail is survived by her son Corinthian “Cj”, daughter-in-law Cossette, daughter Brittany “Brickey”and seven grandchildren, Corinthian Jr. “Bubba”, Chloe “Coco”, Jocelyne “Joc”, Cameron “Bam Bam”, Julianna “Julie-Ana”, Jobi “Joba” and Jenevieve “ Boobey-Woobey”. Her Brother Michael, sister Betty as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a pillar of strength and the rock of the family who spent the majority of her life loving others and being loved by others. Her passing will be greatly felt by all who knew her.
