Honoring Ever Florez’s Heroic Legacy

On July 8, 2025, our beloved father, Ever Florez, was tragically and senselessly taken from us while doing what he always did best protecting his family. In his final moments, he displayed the same unwavering courage and loyalty that defined his entire life. He died a hero, shielding his daughters from harm.

Ever was a man of incredible strength in presence and in principle. With a rough exterior and a voice that filled any room, he might have seemed intimidating, but anyone who truly knew him, knew his heart. It was enormous.

He would give you the shirt off his back, the last dollar in his wallet, and all the time in the world if it meant helping someone he loved. Resourceful, brilliant, and endlessly determined, Ever could fix anything. Whether it be cars, computers, broken pipes, or broken hearts. He never waited for someone else to solve a problem; he showed up and made it happen with grit, grace, and love.

This violent act has left an unimaginable void in our lives. We’ve lost more than just a father, we’ve lost our protector, our counselor, our rock. We share his story not only to honor his memory, but to bring awareness to the silent epidemic of domestic violence and to highlight what the true meaning of fatherhood really looks like: selfless, unconditional, and fearless.

Relocation and support costs to help his daughters and family find safety and begin to rebuild their lives in a secure, healing environment.

Therapy for his daughters as well as educational costs.

Lastly, the assurance that his children have access to all resources available to help them begin their new lives without their main support system.
