With the heaviest hearts, we share that our dear friends Taylor and Dave Baker experienced the unimaginable when their third daughter, Cordelia Louise Baker, was born sleeping on July 3rd, 2025 at 2:03 am.
Cordelia was already deeply loved, and her absence is profoundly felt by everyone who was eagerly awaiting her arrival, especially her two big sisters at home.
As Taylor and Dave grieve the loss of their precious daughter, they’re also navigating the heartbreak of returning to a world that keeps moving - bills, meals, and the needs of their other children don’t pause for grief. Due to the nature of the birth, Taylor’s workplace will also no longer cover the same paid time-off, leaving her without income during this time of deep mourning and recovery.
As her best friends, we’ve seen how much Taylor gives of herself to her family, her students, her athletes, and her friends. She shows up for everyone, every time, without ever asking for anything in return. Dave is also the most devoted husband, father, and servant to the community as a superintendent. He is consistently steadfast, supportive, and humble.
Now it’s our turn to show up for them.
We’re raising funds to help relieve some of the pressures they’re facing, so they can focus on healing and being together as a family. Your support will go toward:
• Groceries and Meals
• Mental Health Resources
• Self-Care
• Items and Experiences for Their Daughters
• Household Needs and General Support
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help uplift the Bakers during a time of indescribable loss. And more than anything, we ask you carry them in your hearts. Cordelia’s life, though brief, left a lasting mark, and she will never be forgotten.
With love,
Mallory & Emma
