Our family would like to sincerely thank everyone who has donated, shared, prayed for us, and supported us following the loss of Christopher “Chris” Rushing. Your love and generosity have meant more to us than we can put into words.

In honor of Christopher’s life and the selfless way he gave his life while saving another, we have established Christopher’s Final Act Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to turning his final act of courage into a lasting legacy of prevention, education, and service.

Our mission is to help prevent drownings and increase access to water-safety resources, particularly for individuals and families who may not otherwise have access. Through the organization, we hope to provide and support swimming education, CPR and water-safety training, life jackets and lifesaving resources, community outreach, and scholarship opportunities.

What began as an unimaginable loss is becoming a mission to help protect other families. We cannot change what happened to Christopher, but we can make sure that his final act continues to save lives.
