Hello!

This is Christopher, Cherise's son.

My mom's final wishes were for her to be donated for medical science as she wanted to pass on the miracle of life that she was so fortunate to experience despite all of her hardships. Although it has been certainly a difficult last few days to navigate, we were lucky enough to find a place (Wayne State) to allow us to fulfill this final act of her.

Cherise despised the idea of a traditional funeral and was always a lover of the summertime where she enjoyed laying out on the beach and attending to her gardens. Therefore, a "Celebration of Life" for her will be created by her family to honor her. The date for this is still to be determined but will be shared as soon as possible.

This GoFundMe has been created to assist with costs associated with Cherise's recent and sudden passing such as transportation, preparation, and post-donation care with cremation services. All donations will be used to help support her family in this difficult time.
