Hi everyone,
My name is Anje, and I'm Blair Lahey's youngest daughter. It's with a heavy heart that I share that my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer on March 3rd. The cancer has progressed quickly, and he has been receiving compassionate care at the Lisaard House hospice in Cambridge since April 21st.
Dad has always been a man with a huge and generous heart, always thinking of others even during his own struggles.
It's this very generosity that shines through in his wish for Lisaard House. During his time there, both while caring for my Aunt Toni last year and now during his own stay, Dad has been deeply touched by the incredible care and support provided by the staff. He's also noticed the older, noisy reclining chairs that family members use when staying overnight to be close to their loved ones. It's become one of his final wishes to help Lisaard House purchase new, comfortable reclining chairs for these families. He believes that having a quiet and comfortable place to rest is so important for those spending long hours supporting their loved ones.
Your generous contribution will directly help Lisaard House purchase new reclining chairs. These chairs will provide a much-needed comfortable and quiet space for family members who are staying overnight, offering them respite and support during incredibly challenging times. By helping us fulfill Dad's wish, you'll be making a huge difference in the comfort and well-being of countless families in the future.
If you're able to, please consider making a donation to help us honor Dad's wish and support the wonderful work of Lisaard House. Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring us closer to our goal of providing comfort for families during their time of need.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this difficult time. It means the world to our family, and we know it would mean so much to Dad.
