Honoring Binghamton's Armenian Legacy
Tax deductible
Join us in honoring the memory of Armenian Genocide victims with a powerful initiative led by Binghamton University and local high school students of Armenian descent. Your donations will support the Refugee Reception & Placement Program of the American Civic Association (ACA) in Binghamton.
For nearly a century, the ACA has aided immigrants in embracing their new community while cherishing their diverse cultural heritage. The Refugee Reception & Resettlement Program supports refugees from the moment they arrive at the airport, helping them find housing, enrolling children in school, and preparing adults for employment until they achieve self-sufficiency. However, the Refugee Reception & Placement Program faces dire underfunding, hindering its ability to provide essential items to newly arrived refugees, such as furniture, bedding, kitchen supplies, and other necessary home goods.
By contributing to the ACA, we not only support those in need but also pay homage to Armenian genocide survivors who laid the foundations of resilience in Binghamton a century ago. Their legacy, embodied by landmarks like the St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church and the Armenian Genocide Memorial, symbolizes hope and renewal.
Your donation transcends mere generosity; it's a pledge to memory, hope, and the promise of a welcoming community. Together, we ensure Binghamton remains a haven for all, just as it was for Armenian immigrants a century ago.
Every contribution matters. Let's unite to uphold the spirit of resilience and enable the ACA to continue its crucial work of easing the transition for newcomers.
