It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden passing of Bilal Mir on Friday, 6th February 2026.
Bilal was more than a friend — he was my brother in every sense of the word. I had the privilege of knowing him for 21 years, and in that time I witnessed his kindness, honesty, and the deep love he had for his family.
He spent 11 years working at Perfect Pantry in Elsternwick, where many people came to know him as a gentle, respectful, and hardworking man. Bilal genuinely cared for his customers and everyone around him. He always greeted people with a smile, remembered faces and names, and treated everyone with warmth, patience, and dignity.
Bilal was the sole provider for his family. His sudden passing has left his loved ones devastated and facing an uncertain future. Along with the unbearable emotional pain, they are now struggling to meet basic daily needs.
I, Jagteshwar Grewal, have taken care of arranging for Bilal’s body to be sent home to Pakistan, and I am now raising this fundraiser to help support his family with essential living expenses and provide them some stability during this unimaginable time.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a real difference in helping his family through this heartbreaking period.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more than we can ever express.
“Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in the hearts of those they leave behind.”
