My name is Tamya, and I am a loving and devoted mother of four beautiful children.

Being their mother is my greatest purpose and my deepest pride. They give my life meaning, and caring for them has been my guiding light, especially over the past several months as I’ve been grieving the loss of my mother, who passed away less than seven months ago.

On April 16th, my family experienced another unimaginable tragedy. One of our youngest babies, De'Lazia Shantinique Marie Dukes, just days away from turning six months old, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.

There are no words to express the pain of losing a child. Her father and I are still trying to process this heartbreak while holding our other children close and finding the strength to keep going.

De'Lazia was the sweetest baby. She was so chill, fun, and sweet. She loved to hold hands and play with her twin sister, Te'Azia. She also loved to laugh and smile and to be held by her big brother and sister.
