Honoring a Beloved Mother: Final Wishes

Hi everyone, We’re gathering to celebrate the life of my mom, Tressie Moreno, tomorrow, Sunday, April 6th at 11:00am- 6pm at Eisenhower Memorial Park, located at 2nd Avenue and Colorado Boulevard in Arcadia, next to the dog park. Food and drinks will be provided, so bring your hunger! If anyone wants to bring something, you’re more than welcome to—but everything will be there, so just bring yourselves and your love. Also, sorry if there was any confusion with the dates—I just recently got access to my mom’s phone and have been doing my best to get the word out. Please help spread the word—let’s celebrate her the right way, surrounded by the people who loved her most. Hope to see you there.

On March 30th my mom passed away after suffering a sudden and devastating brain aneurysm that led to a severe stroke. She fought for days in the ICU, but in the end, her body couldn’t keep going, and she passed peacefully. I still don’t have the words for how much I love her — or how much this loss hurts. She was my best friend, my home, my everything.

She was also deeply loved by everyone who knew her — full of life, fierce love, and always showing up for others. One of the biggest pieces of her heart was her dog, who’s still waiting for her and who I’ll be caring for like she would have wanted.

I’m raising money to help with her cremation, a small service this week to honor her, and to cover care for her dog and her remaining personal expenses. If you knew her, you know what a light she was. And if you didn’t, just know she was someone worth everything.
