Hello, my name is Nathaniel Murrell Jr. On Sunday, January 5, 2024, I received a devastating call from Tampa, Florida that my sister, Zenja Jean Murrell went into cardiac arrest and suddenly passed away.

At this moment, my family and I are completely overcome with grief. Zenja was an elementary school teacher who was loved by her students and her community.  

My sister Zenja was the closest thing that I had to a mother since I was a child. As an adult, this did not change. She was a mentor and overall the BEST person that I’ve ever had the pleasure of growing up with. My sister guided my life. She was my ❤️!!!!l

Zenja left behind her teenage daughter, Zaria J. Murrell-Dorsey of whom she was rearing. Through this sudden tragedy, our family was not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. 

At this time, we are humbly reaching out to ask for donations to help cover the costs of Zenja’s funeral. As a family, we truly thank you all so much for any donations made in honor of my sister Zenja Jean Murrell.
