My name is Stephanie Alford, daughter of Sonya, Shirley, and Mama Nettie. My beautiful mother, Sonya, was the most kind-hearted, giving, and loving person I’ve ever known. In August 2018, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer, and less than a year later, she lost her battle. But she fought with incredible strength and grace. My mother taught me how to love bravely, to stand firm in my beliefs, and showed me just how important family truly is.

In honor of my dearest mom, I’m hoping to raise $500 to support grieving families in our local Tampa community. Whether you are honoring a mom who has passed, a mother figure who changed your life, or navigating grief yourself, your donation will help create a space for healing.

Your support will directly fund care packages and community grief events where families, including youth, can connect, reflect, and grow through shared support. Our next event "Memory Box Creation Party" is scheduled for November 20, 2025, and we want to make sure every attendee feels seen and supported.
