Help Us Honor the Life of Matias Blanco Perez

With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of our beloved Matias Blanco Perez, who left us peacefully at home on June 4, 2025, at the age of 53. As we grieve this unimaginable loss, we are also faced with the financial burden that comes with laying a loved one to rest.

Matias was born on April 24, 1972, in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. He lived a full and vibrant life, known by many as a jack of all trades. Whether he was coaching soccer, choreographing quinceañeras, cooking a delicious meal, building something with his hands, or filling a room with music and laughter, Matias brought joy and energy everywhere he went. He was the life of every gathering, the friend who made everyone feel like family.

He leaves behind his wife Patricia, sons Matias Jr. and Pablo Enrique, two adored grandsons, Emiliano and Arthur, four brothers, two sisters, and a large extended family who will miss him dearly.

We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, and to ease the financial strain on the family during this incredibly difficult time. Any additional funds will be donated in Matias’s memory to Bear River Health in Boyne, Michigan — a place close to his heart and part of his story.

Matias's life reminds us of the power of love, laughter, and second chances. His journey also shines a light on the importance of support and compassion for those facing the challenges of addiction. We hope his story will inspire others to seek help and healing.
