In Loving Memory of Mary Stevens
The Stevens family is so thankful for the outpouring of love and support from their community and all over the world. All of this love, support and prayers has been felt and deeply appreciated.
On July 4, 2025, tragedy struck during the unexpected and devastating flood at Camp Mystic. Among the lives lost was 8-year-old Mary Stevens, a bright light in the lives of everyone who had the joy of knowing her.
Mary was a kind, spirited, and compassionate child who touched the hearts of her family, friends, teachers, and anyone she met. Her laughter was infectious, her heart was generous, and her presence brought joy and comfort. Mary leaves behind her loving parents, (Johnny and Stacy), and her siblings, (Graham and Lilly), who are now navigating unimaginable grief.
This GoFundMe has been created to support the Stevens family during this incredibly difficult time. While some of the funds will help ease the immediate burdens that come with such a tragic loss, the heart of this effort is to create something lasting in Mary’s honor, a way for her memory to continue touching lives, just as she always did. The goal is to carry her light forward into the world and help others in the way she always would have wanted.
