Honor Joe's Legacy: Support His Care

Throughout his life, Joe Brockhoff has dedicated his life to teaching and helping others reach their potential as athletes, people, and leaders. Joe is mostly known as the former Tulane University baseball coach who built and developed a nationally recognized power in the NCAA, but those who had the privilege of personally interacting with him got to know him as a man who committed himself to selflessly serve, teach, and mentor others.

Now, he needs our help.

Joe's beloved life partner, Ms. JoAnne Brockhoff, passed away in 2014. Since then, he has lived alone in the house he moved into with his family back in 1991.

While Joe can be described as fiercely independent and doesn't feel comfortable asking for help, due to health complications, he can no longer live by himself at home and must, for his safety, transition to an assisted living home. However, it was learned that Joe, despite serving on active-duty orders to support US operations in Cuba in 1961-1962, was denied funding assistance.

Therefore, this GoFundMe was created for the purpose of reaching out to former players, coaches, and associates to ask for help in raising funding to facilitate his move to an Assistant Retirement Home in Slidell.

We are working to clear and sell the house to supplement funding so Joe can remain in a situation where he receives the needed support and care he needs.

Please accept this invitation to help Joe complete this necessary transition until long-term funds can be secured.
