Honor Jocelynn: Mural Against Bullying

Harassment and the fear of deportation marked the life of Jocelynn, an 11-year-old Latina girl who tragically took her own life. Her story reflects the harsh reality of harassment that many immigrant families face.

Artist Rosalía Torres Weiner, Chief Executive Artist of @redcalacastudio, wants to honor her memory with a public mural to raise awareness of this struggle and shed light on bullying.

It’s time to speak up, reflect, and take action. I am launching this fundraising to cover the costs of creating a public mural in her memory. I have already secured a site, the donations will cover the costs of renting a scissor lift, paint and materials, and an assistant. I am providing the design and donating my time and talent to lead and execute this project.

El acoso y el miedo a la deportación marcaron la vida de Jocelynn, una niña latina de 11 años que terminó con su vida. Su historia refleja la dura realidad que enfrentan muchas familias inmigrantes.

La artista Rosalía Torres Weiner, CEO de @redcalacastudio, quiere honrar su memoria con un mural para visibilizar esta lucha y concientizar sobre el acoso escolar.
