We are proud to announce the launch of the Ethan John Morgan Tacheny Fund!!

As we approach 2025, our hearts turn to reflect on a deeply meaningful milestone—the 10th anniversary of the passing of our beloved Ethan John Morgan Tacheny. Ethan was not only a son and brother. He was a source of light and resilience to all who knew him. His life, though brief, left an indelible mark, even as he bravely faced DIPG, a rare and relentless pediatric brain cancer.

This anniversary is not only a time to honor Ethan’s memory but also a moment to celebrate the extraordinary caregivers—nurses, doctors, and staff—who walked alongside Ethan and our family, providing hope and solace in times of fear and uncertainty. These compassionate caregivers became part of our extended family, offering comfort in ways beyond medicine. They guided us through each step of Ethan’s journey with grace and love.

To honor Ethan and the legacy of these remarkable caregivers, we are announcing the establishment of the Ethan John Morgan Tacheny Memorial Fund, a scholarship fund supporting nursing students who are called to careers in pediatrics and oncology. Our vision is to create a pathway for future nurses who, like those who cared for Ethan, will bring not only skill but also empathy, courage, and hope to their patients and families.

We are profoundly grateful to announce that this fund has been made possible through a generous contribution from the estate of our family friend, Tanya Wolf Ragir, who, like Ethan, courageously fought her own battle with brain cancer. With Tanya’s bequest and the support of our community, the Ethan John Morgan Tacheny Fund offers an opportunity for donors to contribute to a legacy that embodies love, resilience, and the transformative power of compassionate care.
